| Toronto Arts Council (TAC) has been making
grants for 30 years. In 2003, we awarded just over $8 million
to 417 Toronto organizations and 173 individual artists.
TAC is an independent body governed by a 29-member, volunteer
Board of Directors. A majority of directors are working artists.
Grants are adjudicated at arms-length from government using a
peer review system that is widely admired for fairness, transparency
and efficiency.
