This September 24 to 26, Canada’s largest-ever public participation campaign will celebrate the arts and culture sector of this country. Across the country, in small towns and big cities, the public is invited to free activities in studios, rehearsal halls, community centres, libraries, parks, theatres, museums and galleries, public squares and downtown streets. Toronto's rich cultural fabric will be showcased by more than 145 activities! Find out what is happening in your community by visiting www.culturedays.ca. There is still time to register an activity and join in. Anyone can!
Toronto Arts Council wants to let everyone in Toronto know about CULTURE DAYS. This will most certainly be a significant opportunity for both audience development and increased visibility for artists and arts organizations. This awareness campaign will provide a strong voice advocating the value of arts and culture in Toronto, along with hundreds of cities and communities right across the nation.
The idea behind Culture Days is to include both amateur and professional arts activities across all geographic and culturally diverse communities. Individuals and groups, both professional and amateur, are invited to provide free opportunities for the public to experience and participate in their particular activity. These can include open houses, exhibitions, screenings, workshops, lectures, performances and demonstrations.
