March 28, 2011 - Boundary crossing, multi-disciplinary dance projects awarded support for development Toronto Arts Council's INCUBATE program, now in its third year, has awarded grants totalling $75,000 to nine Dance projects being developed by Toronto arts organizations for international festivals and presenters.

January 28, 2011- "Toronto's cultural sector employs nearly 133,000 people and annually generates $9 billion in GDP,” Councillor Thompson said. “Between 1991 and 2007, creative occupations grew at more than twice the rate of the general labour force. Given the changes that have occurred in the economy, Toronto's city governance philosophy and the city's cultural sector since 2003, it is time to take a fresh look at our Culture Plan.”

January 24, 2011 - The Toronto Arts Foundation in collaboration with Cultural Services, City of Toronto is currently conducting research to determine the feasibility and interest in a centralized North York Arts Service Organization to support and foster the arts in our neighbourhood. We are conducting community consultations to determine interests and needs.
